Business Administrator in Chesterfield
Salary: £24,990-£29,937pa (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a full-time Business Administrator to join our friendly team.
Based in our modern offices at Dunston Innovation Centre in Chesterfield, you will become a part of a small, effective team who are involved with all matters relating to ensuring that building projects in and around the Derbyshire comply with UK building regulations.
As part of the role you will be the first point of contact for builders, property owners, architects, and anyone else who want to make an application. You will then ensure that the applications are registered and processed in a timely, accurate manner and that customers are kept up to date on progress.
Experience of working within an office environment would be an advantage, we will be offering comprehensive training of our system. It is vital that you have experience of providing effective customer service support as well as developing a rapport with a diverse range of people including the general public and business community. Organised and able to meet deadlines, you will also need to combine outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a sound proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Building Control Surveyor

As a Building Control Surveyor responsible for checking and inspecting within your own area, you will be encouraged to participate in the same way. You will have plenty of variety because there will be a broad range of building control projects which you will manage and progress to successful completion. In addition, you will help to grow our business by establishing and strengthening working relationships with architects and developers, as well as other existing or potential clients.
We are looking for someone who has proven experience in a similar role and, ideally, will be able to apply a good working knowledge of the Building Regulations to a variety of developments and will also be preparing for the mandatory registration with the Building Safety Regulator in line with the requirements of the Building Inspector competency framework, being a member or working towards membership of an appropriate body including RICS, CABE or CIOB.
Class 2F or working towards class 2F
You will also need to show that customer service matters to you as well as display the ability to work to the highest standards with the minimum of supervision.
